Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County Accepting Nominations for Nurse Practitioner of the Year

Nurse Practitioner of the Year Nomination Criteria

The Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County (NPCPBC) would like to recognize one nurse practitioner (NP) annually that has been nominated by a member.

The NP of the year award has been given annually to an individual NP that resides and/or practices in Palm Beach County, who has demonstrated superiority in NP practice. Recipients have made a significant contribution toward increasing awareness and recognition of NPs. Eligible candidates can also contribute to the profession from nonclinical initiatives related to leadership, precepting, policy, politics, research, education, or community affairs.

Criteria

The nominee does not have to be a council member; however, the nominator must be current NPCPBC member.

The nominee has created or supports programs of benefit to health and welfare of one or more populations. Such as local, state, or national involvement, educational program development, and research.

and/or

The nominee is politically active to support nurse practitioners and promotes actions that unify the voice of nurse practitioners.

and/or

The nominee has scholastic involvement such as being a preceptor or professor.

Submission and Selection

Members will submit the nomination electronically by email to npcouncilpbc@gmail.com. The nomination will be in a summary form, no more than 750 words describing why the nominee should be selected.

The Vice President will review the submissions with three selected members (by the Vice President) and select a recipient for the award.

All submissions must be received by November 30th, 2018 and NP of the Year will be awarded at the holiday party, February 1st, 2019.
