Jamaicans of the Palm Beaches twenty-seventh annual Community Health Fair

Posted almost 6 years ago by Regina Pommer

Jamaicans of the Palm Beaches, Inc. will be having their twenty-seventh annual Community Health Fair providing much needed medical assistance, health information, general screening, awareness, prevention and education to underserved persons from doctors, nurses and others. The event is free and open to the public. We respectfully request your assistance in making this event possible by asking your members to help us with back to school physicals as well as adult physicals, etc. Liability coverage will be provided by the Health Department in the form of Sovereign Immunity.

We are a recognized 501(c) (3), tax-exempt organization (EIN:65-0348218) and request your assistance in our upcoming Health Fair to be held on Thursday, August 9th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church, 3600 N Australian Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407. Over the past 26 years, we have provided free physical examinations for children and immunizations for children ages 6 to 19 years old in preparation for the new school year. Also done are screenings such as HIV testing, vision examinations, hypertension and diabetes screening, and breast examinations/prescription for mammograms. Entertainment will include a bounce house, and face painting. Refreshments and healthy snacks will be available. Also, each year we try to provide back-packs and school supplies to those children that need them. Your sponsorship will assist in providing these services.

Jamaicans of the Palm Beaches, Inc. has teamed with community organizations that are committed to providing healthcare for children and families such as BB&T, PNC Bank, Palm Beach County Childhood Immunization Coalition, Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc., Palm Beach County Health Department, Magellan Complete Care, Humana, Planned Parenthood, Wellcare, Hospice of Palm Beach County, and St. Mary's Medical Center.

Please assist us in our endeavor by participating in our Annual Health Fair. We would be very grateful for your help.

Yours truly,

Patricia Campbell President
